House of Horror closes at the Miami International Mall on Nov. 4. It returned for its 17th year in early October after a delay due to Hurricane Irma.
Santa’s Enchanted Forest opens at Tropical Park Nov. 2. The overlap means the two theme parks will coexist for three days in November.
It’s not the first time this has happened, the team at House of Horror said. But it’s rare – this might be only the second or third time.
Both carnivals have become mainstays during Miami’s holiday season, but Santa’s Enchanted Forest has been around more than twice as long as House of Horror.
House of Horror opens at 6 p.m. and closes at 11 p.m. on Thursday and opens at 5:30 p.m. with a closing time of midnight on Friday and Saturday.
Doors at Santa’s Enchanted Forest open at 5 p.m. and close at midnight daily (except on New Year’s Eve, when they close at 11 p.m.), through Jan. 7.
Season pass tickets can be purchased online at a discounted rate before the opening date. All rides at Santa’s Enchanted Forest are free with the purchase of a ticket.
This year, Santa’s Enchanted Forest is celebrating the efforts of first responders by offering 50 percent off tickets on Nov. 2. The discount marks the amusement park’s 35 years in business, according to its official website.
