When it comes to show-stopping stunts and dazzling costumes, few in Miami do it as well as Faena. Following in the footsteps of their previous shows “C’est Rouge” and “Magique,” the Miami Beach hotel now presents a new interactive multimedia performance called “Sensatia.”
Presented in the Faena Theater, this new collaboration with the performance collective Quixotic will blend dance, music, aerial stunts and technology to create a full sensory experience that follows the story of a ballerina, a violinist and a muse. Throw in some projection mapping for good measure and voila — you’ve got a full-blown, fully interactive “fantasy cabaret” that gives new meaning to the phrase “dinner and a helluva show.”
Sensatia debuts Oct. 12-13 with a community show for hurricane relief benefiting Feeding South Florida. It will run until Nov. 25 on Thursday, Friday and Saturday evenings. Tickets start at $55 and can be purchased via www.faena.com or www.ticketmaster.com. During Friday and Saturday night shows, you can also opt for an accompanying multi-course dinner developed by Pao’s Chef Paul Qui to work in tandem with the performance.
