The Bakehouse Art Complex celebrates outstanding leadership in South Florida arts with a kickoff party for the 2014 – 2015 season Wednesday, Sept. 10, with complimentary breakfast from 8:30 – 9:30 a.m. and lunch from noon – 1 p.m. Honorees include Michael Spring and the Miami-Dade County Dept. of Cultural Affairs, The Arts and Business Council of Miami, The Miami Children’s Museum, and The Betsy Hotel. Street Art Show
As part of the year-long “Fordistas” artist-in-residence program in Wynwood powered by South Florida Ford, Buenos Aires-based street artist Jaz (aka Franco Fasoli) unveils a solo exhibition Saturday, Sept. 13 from 7 – 10 p.m. at Product/81 Gallery, 2311 NW 2nd Ave., Miami. “Fiesta Control” embraces the artist’s signature theme of Mexican style wrestling figures with animal/beast and human characteristics in combat setting.
