South of Fifth heads south of the border today as El Scorpion opens its festive, Mexican doors in the old Tuscan Steak space. Owners Dan Smith & Jeffrey & Zach Chodorow (father & son) are bringing 130 tequilas, five varieties of handmade guacamole, four types of nachos & more to the 6,000-square-foot space. Expect old favorites (carne asada tacos) and new classics (roast suckling pig stuffed with chopped fruit for 4).
