Miami’s iconic Vagabond Hotel ups its dining game with the Vagabond Village

The splashy new Vagabond Village is ready for biz!Handout

At long last, MiMo‘s retro fab Vagabond Hotel is re-ready for its close up, debuting the brand new (albeit still retro) Vagabond Village consisting of the Vagabond Sushi Bar & Market, Brigitte at Vagabond and The Oasis Pool & Bar at Vagabond, a mouthful of mod squad fabulousness slated to open to the public next week.

The brainchild of Amir Ben Zion of Bond St, Miss Yip, Buck 15, Gigi and Bardot fame, the VV (for short) is a one-stop shop for Upper East Siders looking for food, drink and fun. The sushi bar ships directly from Japan and features highly qualified roller, executive chef Mike Hiraga formerly of Blue Ribbon and Bond St. The menu includes an extensive nigiri and sashimi list as well as Izakaya-style plates, Bento boxes and, of course, sake.  Open nightly from 6 p.m. until “late,” the Vagabond Sushi bar will also serve weekend brunch launching sometime in November.

Vagabond Sushi Bar & Market

Attached to the sushi bar is  The Vagabond Market, offering to-go sushi faves, quick dinners, wine, beer, candy, gifts, flowers and “unique entertaining finds.” A communal table will keep you comfy while waiting for custom orders to be prepared.

Then there’s Brigitte, a bar and pool-er, billiards lounge–with full cocktail and bottle menu open nightly from 8 p.m. until “late.” The 1948 Brunswick certified competition pool table along with Ben Zion’s personal art collection are sure to turn up in many an Instagram feed.

Outside at The Oasis pool and bar, there’s live music from 6 p.m. to midnight on Thursday through Saturday, and on weekends, the place will pop with sunbathing, boozing locals from noon to midnight.
