YoungArts Week 2010

For the past 28 years, YoungArts, the core program of the National Foundation for Advancement in the Arts, identifies about 150 of the most talented and promising young artists from around the country, and invites them to Miami for YoungArts Week.

These students are selected from thousands of applications in the literary, performing and visual arts, and have demonstrated an inspiring artistic excellence that YoungArts seeks to foster and encourage. YoungArts Week is a week-long celebration of this talent, where students participate in artistic enrichment experiences including master classes with world renowned artists, workshops, exhibitions, and nightly performances that are open to the public.

Alumni of the YoungArts program include actress Vanessa Williams, singer Josh Groban, Entourage star Adrian Grenier, Tony Award-nominee Raúl Esparza and novelist Allegra Goodman.

This year the performances and exhibitions will be held downtown at the Gusman Center, at the Margulies Collection at the WAREhOUSE, University of Miami’s Gusman Hall, and News Lounge.
