Your atelier is located in New York’s Garment District and you source 70 percent of the collection locally, why is this important to you? I like to cook my own food, if you know what I mean. I also want to support our local economy.
Share with us something most people don't know about you: I am the youngest of eight children!
Why are your creations the perfect fit for Miami woman? Miami has a wonderful energy. The women here are very sexy and trendy.
You are here today to show us your separate, under-the-radar line, Cut 25. Describe Cut 25 for those not-in-the-know. Cut 25 is my younger, trendier collection. It’s named Cut 25 because it started with 25 pieces, my lucky number is 25 and the letter "Y" is the 25th letter in the alphabet. I was also born on August 25.
When in Miami, what is your go-to restaurant? I enjoy Carpaccio at Bal Harbour Shops and recently ate at Cecconi’s which was very good as well.
Where are you staying while in town? In the St. regis Bal Harbour. it's amazing.
Where do you like to shop when in the Magic City? I really like walking around the Design District.
Ooh, do we forsee a future Design District Yigal Azrouël standalone store? Ha ha! Maybe.
If you weren’t a designer, what would be plan B? I would have been a surfer. Most definitely.
