Back in 1973, a fashion show called "The Battle of Versailles" made history in Paris. The landmark event placed five American designers against five French designers and it was one of the first events where African American models walked in a high fashion runway. This Saturday, January 12, Wynwood’s vintage guru Keni Valenti is hosting a tribute exhibition at his epomymous fashion gallery also called “The Battle of Versailles” The show which debuts during Art Walk takes place from 6 to 10 PM and you must RSVP. Items modeled during the show will be on display. Such as vintage YSL, Pierre Cardin, Ungaro, Dior, and Givenchy and Oscar de la Renta, Stephen Burrows, Halston, Bill Blass, and Anne Klein.
