It's that time of year again, when we have to get out of the bed early Sunday morning, spit-shine our best loafers and show our dedication to mom by stuffing her full of waffles. Since moms come in all temperaments, here we offer our guide to the Miami culinary world's Mother's Day offerings. This should help you sift through the buffets and fixed-price menus and find the perfect match for your matriarch during the annual Mother's Day feeding frenzy.
THE REVELER (aka THE BOOZER)
Mother's Day Brunch at 1 Bleu
Treat your favorite lady (ahem, that would be your mother) to a fabulous brunch with an even more fabulous view of the ocean at 1 Bleu located inside the luxurious Regent Bal Harbour Hotel. With a Spanish guitar trio softly playing, she'll be transported to the Mediterranean with three courses of chef Gerdy Rodriguez's innovative menu. Keep her glass filled with the unlimited Bloody Marys and mimosas and hope she doesn't start hounding you about why you're still single.

Mother's Day Brunch at Fleming's Prime Steakhouse
Fleming's offers a three-course brunch for Mother's Day with your choice of filet Mignon Benedict, crab cake Benedict, bone-in ham steak or roasted turkey crêpes. And don't miss the featured cocktails: Prime Royale, champagne with a hint of French raspberry liqueur and Fleming's Mary, a traditional Bloody Mary twisted with wasabi. Both drinks are only $6.95, so you can keep them coming.

Mother's Day Brunch at Lvl 25
If your mother is an avid mimosa consumer or loves to celebrate every occasion with some bubbly, Lvl 25 at Atrio is the place for you this Mother's Day. Apart from the delicious spread they're rolling out in honor of mom -- huge seafood buffet, egg station, waffles, French toast, carving stations, pasta station and the like -- included in the price are unlimited Bloody Marys, mimosas or champagne. You may want to keep her away from the balcony after a few of those.

THE NITPICKY
Mother's Day Brunch at The Setai
Mother's Day brunch at The Setai will feature the music of jazz singer Nicole Henry. Mom will love the huge spread being laid out just for her with omelets, waffles and pancakes, classic and contemporary pizzas and flat breads, Chinese, Thai and Indian stations, roast beef, leg of lamb, corn-fed chicken and Berkshire pork slowly cooking on the rotisserie, seafood bar and dim sum. And if that's not enough, moms will receive a 15% spa discount, gift bag, long-stem rose and a Bloody Mary or glass of Veuve Clicquot champagne. If that's still not enough for your demanding mommy, focus on your relationship with your father.

Mother's Day Brunch at Azul
If you want to impress your mother with a truly lavish Mother's Day spread, Azul is your ticket. Guests can enjoy specialties such as Eggs Cocotte, made with creamy scrambled eggs, Maine lobster and caviar, or the braised veal shank ravioli with caramelized onions, Parmesan cheese and black truffle butter. Traditional favorites include omelets, waffles and pancakes plus an assortment of cheeses and fresh exotic fruit. A seafood presentation including caviar, jumbo shrimp and stone crab claws as well as a delectable sushi station complete the menu. She'll find nothing to complain about here.

Mother's Day Brunch at Blue Door
Treat mother dearest to a Mother's Day feast at the Blue Door in South Beach's chic Delano Hotel. She can try the breakfast station with Belgian waffles, pancakes and eggs or the raw bar station with shrimp, caviar and crab. If she still has room, she can try the dim sum station, carving station or hot entrees. For that sweet tooth of hers, top it off with a Mother's Day chocolate extravaganza of assorted chocolates, pastries, mousses and tarts. If she doesn't appreciate this bountiful brunch, then next year use the money for therapy.

Mother's Day Brunch with High Fashion at Four Seasons
The Mother's Day brunch at Four Seasons will appeal to her inner diva as she munches on delicacies and checks out a mini-fashion show featuring the 2008 collection by Blumarine as well as sunglasses by Edward Beiner. Brunch highlights include an array of dishes ranging from traditional breakfast fare to gourmet stations of international cuisine, champagne and smoothie bar serving an assortment of cocktails and healthy fruit concoctions, a seafood station, carving station offering leg of lamb, roasted salmon, sirloin and roasted suckling pig and an extensive dessert display created by the hotel's pastry chef, Charles Froke.

THE LATE RISER
Mother's Day Dinner at Bourbon Steak
Couldn't make it out of the house in time for brunch? No worries. Bourbon Steak will give mom three courses worth of delicious reminders of how much you love her at their Mother's Day dinner. Maybe start with the crab cakes and tomato preserve, continue with the filet Mignon and foraged mushrooms, then top it all off with the chocolate molten cake.

Mother's Day Lunch at La Confradia
La Confradia in Coral Gables is offering a three-course fixed-price menu for Mother's Day. Here's a sneak peek of a few of the entree options: lomo saltado, sautéed shrimp with pisco and lima beans or the crispy Magret duck breast. Festivities last until 4 p.m. in case you hit the one o'clock church service. Right.

Mother's Day Lunch at Oceanaire
Oceanaire will feature a sumptuous seafood brunch for Mother's Day with a la carte menu items including: Oceanaire jumbo lump crab cake Benedict, seafood scramble (scrambled eggs with crab, shrimp, smoked salmon, potatoes, onions and peppers), classic French toast with maple syrup and steak and eggs a la Oceanaire Miami (12-ounce churrasco steak, blue crab scrambled eggs and criollo sauce). This classy spot in Mary Brickell Village will be serving mom until 5 p.m., so you have plenty of time to stop at the mall and get her that gift you meant to buy her.

THE ECONOMIST
Mother's Day Brunch at Segafredo
Mom doesn't have to know that her brunch is costing you less than fifteen bucks. And since you've brought her to one of Brickell's hip new venues, she'll consider you a big spender, indeed. Brunch includes a selection from Segafredo's new brunch menu plus two side dishes. And for the lucky ladies, the Bellinis are complimentary. Another thing mom doesn't need to know.

Mother's Day Brunch at Table 8
Show mom how much you care with a scrumptious brunch at celebrity chef Govind Armstrong's chic restaurant Table 8. Mom can order the delicious egg dishes or be adventurous and try the duck confit with bulgar, kalamata olives, roasted peppers and arugula or the chipotle BBQ pork loin.

Mother's Day Brunch at Andu
This chic addition to downtown's culinary scene wants to treat all of Miami's mamas to a delicious brunch to celebrate their special day. The three-course meal lets guests pick their own entree from the menu while enjoying different selections from the buffet as well.

Mother's Day Brunch at The Food Gang
The Food Gang is organizing a huge buffet for mom that will feature a bread station, salads, breakfast and lunch dishes, cheese, fish and charcuterie and, if you have any room left, a dessert station. So round up the gang and bring your appetites. And aren't they sweet -- your two-year-old, who will probably end up eating half a pancake, doesn't have to pay a penny.

I've been to the brunch at Lvl 25 at the Conrad and its AMAZING! The food, the service, the view and who can pass up the mimosas! Its the best in town!
