Where to Watch Football in Miami
Duffy’s in North Miami Beach leads the charge
Looking for the ultimate sports bar to watch a marathon of college and pro football games on the weekends this fall? A place where you can get 2 for 1 drinks (from Goose to Guinness), host a bunch of friends (or your favorite team’s watch club), and not have to worry about clean up before you go to bed?
Look no further than Duffy’s Sports Grill (3929 NE 163rd St.) in North Miami Beach.
With 201 televisions in the 25,000 square foot, indoor-outdoor location, Duffy’s is the only sports bar that can handle multiple football watch parties with ease. It’s just a matter of where you and/or your group want to watch the game.
Like your football with a water view? Then head outside to the Dolphins Deck, with views of the intercoastal waterway along with plenty of television screens, including five monster 100-inch screens. There’s even a swimming pool and boat deck, if you need.
Prefer your football indoors, but with plenty of screens? Then there’s the Sports Theatre that seats between 85 and 100 people and features 32 60-inch screens. No chance you miss any of the action here.
Maybe you’d rather have a more private, upscale setting for your watching pleasure? The wine room easily seats 16 people in a private wine cellar setting, complete with over 10 screens in the room and Wi-Fi.
“The room is perfect for a fantasy football draft or private parties for UFC and boxing fights,” said Max Marion, senior general manager at Duffy’s.
Marion also said there will be plenty of drink specials in addition to Duffy’s standard 2-for-1 on ALL drinks everyday after 4 p.m.
“We will have a 34-ounce stadium mug for $5.50 which you can get Heineken or Bud Light, and 5 for $15 aluminum buckets of 16-ounce Miller Lite,” he said.
Duffy’s has already become the official sports bar of all four of Miami’s pro sports teams - the Dolphins, Marlins, Panthers and Heat. Several pro football groups have expressed an interest in hosting their official watch parties at Duffy’s, including the local chapters of Bears, Bills, Jets, Giants and Steelers fans. Several alumni groups have already secured their spots for college football season, including Miami, Florida, and Michigan.
Duffy’s opens at 11 a.m. on the weekends and closes at 2 a.m., so no kickoff will be missed. There is live music outside from 8 – 11 p.m. Thursday through Sunday. And with an intricate television system in which all 201 screens can be independently tuned, expect every broadcast game to be on (and 5 select games to include the audio broadcast, a key component to watch parties).
While they will be able to accommodate most walk-up watch groups of 15 or fewer, larger groups that want to secure a designated space will have a minimum purchase requirement. Marion said they can build food and drink packages for any size group and still be budget conscious. Contact Amy Siegel at 305-760-2124 for more information on group reservations.
