Summer is quickly passing us by and the countdown begins for Labor Day weekend madness, but don’t worry, there’s plenty to keep you going through the work week and on to the dance floor. This week catch special guest sets by Wolfgang Gartner, Diplo, 12th Planet, and enjoy live performances by Coolio and Lisa Shaw. Day and night I’ve got you covered for the weekend; here are my top party picks!
Thursday, Aug. 1
MTV Staying Alive at WALL
2201 Collins Ave., Miami Beach
Join the MTV Staying Alive team for a special event at Wall Lounge. Enjoy drinks, prizes and great entertainment all the while raising funds and awareness for the MTV Staying Alive Foundation. Enjoy complimentary drinks and music by DJ Mauricio Parra and a special performance by Manú Música. Doors open at 9 p.m., there’s no cover but a $20 voluntary donation will get you a MTV Staying Alive Bracelet, one complementary drink, plus the chance to win a raffle prize.
Also at WALL this week- Favela Beach Tuesdays presents Ruen, Price, and Reid Waters. On Friday catch a set by DJ Crooked and Blaze Carreras followed by a night with Tom Swoon on Saturday.
Friday, Aug. 2
Story presents Wolfgang Gartner

Get the weekend started at Story with special guest Wolfgang Gartner as he takes over the decks alongside Dave Sol dropping high-energy electro and tech house beats to keep you dancing until 5 a.m. Doors open at 11 p.m., dress code is strictly enforced. Admission is currently $30 for the ladies $50 for the gents.
Don’t miss out on Thursday where Hip-hop star Fabolous takes over for a night sexy hip-hop and R&B. Come back on Saturday for a night with Joseph Capriati presented by LINK and Miami Rebels.
Grand Central presents 12th Planet
697 N Miami Ave., Miami Beach
Over in downtown party with the hipsters at Grand Central as Poplife presents 12th Planet alongside Sluggers and Caligula. It’s going to be a night of crazy antics and dubstep. Doors open at 10 p.m., you must be 18 and over to party, and tickets are $15 in advance.
Saturday, Aug. 3
Clash Pool Party at Hyde
1701 Collins Ave., Miami Beach
Spend your Saturdays dancing it up in the sun at one of the sexiest pool parties around. This weekend make your way to Hyde for the special Clash Pool Party with music by Miguel Migs alongside a live performance by Lisa Shaw and DJs Cassinelli, Fernando Alvarado, DJ Arlette, Brad Strickland and Jason Vernau. LIV presents Diplo and EDX

Head to LIV and get ready for a wild night with special guest Diplo alongside EDX. Prepare to dance your ass off to electro and hard house beats such as “Turn That Shit Up”, “Express Yourself” and many more. Doors open at 11 p.m., dress to impress, and you must be 21+ to get in.
More nights to let loose at LIV- Wednesday DJ Ross One takes over for Dirty Hairy along with Reun and Mike Deuce. Thursday, start the weekend early with Sultan and Ned Sheppard, followed by a night with hip-hop artist Coolio performing live along with DJ Ruen on Friday.
Sunday, Aug. 4
Beach Bash at Nikki Beach
1 Ocean Drive, Miami Beach
August has arrived and it’s time for the annual Beach Bash at Nikki Beach. This Sunday, head over to First and Ocean and start the festivities early with brunch at 11a.m. Enjoy delicious eats from various food stations including a sushi rolling station, rotisserie station, and a decadent dessert station. Enjoy light music and entertainment while you eat, then when 5pm rolls around; get ready to hit the dance floor.
