CHICKS' NIGHT OUT
The lovely lady responsible for "Sex and the City" talks about and signs her new book, "The Carrie Diaries" (Balzer & Bray, $18.99), which takes us back to the '80s for a sneak peek into Carrie Bradshaw's high-school journal.

DANCE, DANCE, DANCE
MIAMI CONTEMPORARY DANCE COMPANY
Director Ray Sullivan's sensual, physically vibrant choreography returns to the stage with two premieres, "Shadow Light" and "Someone's Solo," as well as Sullivan's version of "Dying Swan" and his comedic tribute to enthusiastic Italian-American families, "Nonna's Pasta Dances."

WOODY'S AT IT AGAIN
Woody Allen keeps delivering the laughs with his play about two ancient Greeks, an actor (Diabetes) and a writer (Hepatitis), who attempt to come up with an ending for their new play. Plenty of South Florida references will keep the locals laughing.

MIAMI ON STAGE
Three of the most provocative solo hip-hop theater artists in Miami present their works: Rudi Goblen’s "Insanity Isn’t," a dance and spoken-word whirlwind of 9-to-5 mania; Summer Hill Seven’s "Shakespeare N. Haarlem," about a poet sentenced to death for the new crime of lyrical terrorism; and Meshaun Lebrone’s "Right to Remain," a glimpse into late rapper Tupac Shakur’s internal struggle with race, power, fame and infamy.
SUNDAY, MAY 2
The Miami Civic Music Association and The Friends of Chamber Music team up to present four of the most outstanding performers in the world of chamber music: Joseph Kalichstein on piano, Mikhail Simonyan on violin, Cynthia Phelps on viola and William De Rosa on cello. Program includes the Mozart Piano Quartet No. 1 in G minor and the Schumann Piano Quartet in E-flat.
