The W Rocked Out
Cindy Crawford fist pumping to Estelle, DJ Eric Velez on the turtables; it was a great night at the W Fort Lauderdale.

Thursday, June 24 at the W Fort Lauderdale was an absolute blast as the hotel celebrated its one-year anniversary. The décor was phenomenal, the Grey Goose cocktails were a hit, the music was a perfect blend of top 40 hits, electro, and house, and the crowd was amazing. The night turned out to be more then what I expected.
As I walked in to the gorgeous W Fort Lauderdale, I met the great staff (that was very organized considering it was an extremely packed house) before stepping through the Grey Goose themed corridor before making my way to the third floor where the Living Room Lounge is located. From the start you could tell this was going to be a good night. Everyone was dressed to impress - five-inch heels, hair all done, men in blazers - it was a very chic, upscale crowd. The crowd was a mix of mid-20s to 40-somethings, but no matter the age everyone was on the dance floor or mingling throughout the entire venue.
The appetizers that were passed around were a perfect pair with the Grey Goose cocktails. I sampled civiche shooters, crab fritters, mini kobe beef burgers, and (my favorite) the raspberry, chocolate mouse. I was already having an amazing night and this was all before the entertainment even started.
At 8:30 p.m. Grammy award-winning singer Estelle took to the stage and rocked out to her classics “American Boy” and “One Love” from the David Guetta album titled One Love. Right in front of the stage the gorgeous Cindy Crawford was dancing with her arms in the air (yes, she was fist pumping) and completely into the performance. Estelle was fabulous, very engaging and her energy was super positive!
Soon after, Miami’s own Eric Velez took over the turntables keeping the crowd hyped and the party going strong. The W Fort Lauderdale threw an amazing shindig for their first anniversary, and the only bad thing I have to say is that I didn’t want it to end.
