For Americans and Cubans alike, I think the best place to get Cuban coffee is at Tinta y Cafe, located in Brickell's side of Calle Ocho, simply because it is cozy, loungey, clean, and artsy. On top of that, it's a true coffee shop.

The secret is out. The Liberty Gas Station on Coral Way and SW 22nd Ave is the best cuban coffee in my neighborhood.
I'd say that the Cuban Coffee at Oasis in Key Biscayne is excellent.
I have to also mention Islas Canarias on Coral Way and 137th Avenue
