I am absolutely obsessed with the burgers and milkshakes here. Try the mac 'n cheese, too!
First I heard about a cool new burger joint on the Beach. Next I heard that it had a great vibe and the food was better than 8 oz - ok, I was curious. Last night we finally got to try it and WOW! I love B&B.
I'm picky when it comes to restaurants - not snobby, but the food and service better justify the price.
We walked in, and it's got a great look & feel. The menu is so creative and interesting, it's fun to read. A 10 lb. burger for $75? I'm not gonna order it, but it's cool to fantasize. Also, the drink list is extensive and I decided to order a "Skull Splitter" beer.
First of all, the service was fantastic. Not the type where you have waiters and bus boys hovering over your shoulder waiting to whisk away your utensils. What I like is fast, efficient, considerate, correct service, and then stay out of my way. Our waiter, "Brooklyn Mike" was hands down the best server that I've had in South Florida, and I'll ask for him again. Helpful, nice, funny, and quick, with absolutely no BS.
Next the food: we ordered the "Fly Like an Eagle". This thing was seasoned perfectly. I ate it with a fork and knife and loved every bite. The sweet potato fries and mini-corn dogs were also awesome. I finished it off with a scoop of fudge brownie ice cream, which they serve from an old-school soda fountain. There wasn't a crumb of food left over. The total bill for three people including drinks came to $65 - not bad at all. Refreshingly, they don't do the "gratuity included" thing, so you're free to tip what you want... this time being much higher than usual.
I'm not the type of person that writes a lot of reviews or has a Yelp account. But my experience last night was so great, I have to give these guys the recognition they deserve. Thank you for a rare gem of a dining experience on South Beach!!! We'll be back.... Read more
This looks like such a cool hangout, I think I will try this weekend. Thanks for the review !
