Thursdays and Fridays the atmosphere of the place is definitely very Miami. Live Latin Jazz basically makes you think you are somewhere else. The place, the food, the people, very underground and unique.Musicians like trumpeter Renoir Rodriguez and guitarist Alberto Escobedo among many others play their tunes with a smooth swing. The backdrop scene is more than amazing. Ask permission to check the corridor of that former Bank and discover the art deco shapes on the ceilings, walls and solid brass elevator doors! That's an ideal setting for fashion shows and private events. The only drawback, no A/C or bathrooms but the place has a character like no other.
Big thumbs up to the last 3, I haven't been Maia's Creole Café yet...The dinner entrees at Soya & Pomodoro are a little more than $7-$14 though.
Devito's on South Beach. Lots of hype, very expensive, but just adequate.
