I love to find new local places and places full of the unexpected. I found that in my area (Miami Lakes) many of the Bakery's fall short on filling. An Empanada is supposed to be the puffed savory combination of a flaky outside and a savory ground beef center. Strangely enough The Billiard Club in Miami Lakes has some amazing Empanadas, alone or with a dollop of sour cream they are still deep fried heaven.... Read more

I gotta agree on Buenos Aires Bakery. I go to their location on Sheridan & Flamingo in broward it is by far the best empanadas in South Florida! I pick them up by the half dozen there and they are always a hit at work, at home, or with any friends.... Read more

There is nothing like a pastelito with guava and cheese from Rico's Bakery(425 SW 22nd Ave.,Miami).
