How do points work?

Your points are your reputation on Miami.com. You can earn points by rating places, posting reviews, photos and comments or flagging questionable or off-topic reviews.

The higher your points, the more likely you are to be invited to VIP events or chosen as a featured user on Miami.com’s homepage.

The way to start racking up points is to sign up as a Miami.com user . When you join Miami.com and set up your profile, you'll be awarded 10 points. Be sure to pick a good username for yourself when you sign up. That's what everyone will see when they view your points score compared to theirs, both in all-time and monthly rankings.

A few tips to keep in mind:

Post often
You’ll have low points if you post only once a month. Check in often, and let us know what you think.

Stay on topic
Off topic reviews or comments will cost you points – moderators will subtract points every time one of your reviews or comments is taken down.
