Miami is to me...

I traded the cold weather of my native Pennsylvania for South Florida's subtropical climate about three years ago and I have never regretted it. I live on South Beach and work for the University of Miami. I enjoy running, going out to bars and dabbling in politics with the Young Republicans.

    All the fun of a South Beach club without the South Beach prices. No cover charge, no waiting in a long line to get in.

    Fox's offers great food and drinks at reasonable prices. There is a very low-key vibe to the place. Certainly not a dive, but it is not pretentious either. It will take you eyes a few minutes to adjust after arriving, as the lighting is very dim.... Read more

    The Deuce is by far my favorite bar on South Beach. It has the longest happy (8:00 AM - 7:00 PM) that I have ever seen anywhere. It also has a very interesting mix a people there. One of my friends call it the 'Star Wars bar' alluding to the Mos Eisley Cantina from the original Star Wars movie. Bikers, models, businessmen, and low-lifes are all likely to be found drinking at the Duece. The bartenders at Club Deuce friendly and never leave you sitting there thirsty.... Read more
