Rosinella's- South Miami
Posted on Tue, 08.17.2010 @ 12:29I love this family style, Italian find. Great eggplant parma and the pasta is good too. Our waitress was wonderful. My only critique is don't order the Caesar salad - it was made with a low quality bottled dressing.... Read moreSeasons 52
Posted on Thu, 08.12.2010 @ 10:28I had dinner here for the first time last night. What a wonderful treat. I ordered the swordfish (even though I don't normally like it) and it was done to perfection! Plenty of items on the menu to choose a healthy, low fat delicious meal. My only complaint was that our waiter was a bit slow on the mark, but we were a party of 7. I can't wait for them to open on Miracle Mile in the Gables. Buen provecho!!!... Read morePoblano
Posted on Sun, 06.13.2010 @ 10:14I was very saddened to learn that Poblano closed in their South Miami location due to a huge rent hike from their landlord (shame on you whoever you are!). Poblano was the most authentic upscale Mexican restaurant Miami has ever had the pleasure to host. Does anyone know where they are moving to? Margot... Read moreRosa Mexicano - Mary Brickell Village
Posted on Mon, 12.15.2008 @ 13:36This is as close as you will get to a Mexico City gourmet restaurant. The service and food was great. Although a bit pricey, I highly recommend it.... Read moreChef Adrianne's Vineyard Restaurant and Wine Bar
Posted on Tue, 12.09.2008 @ 12:41What a total disappointment! I was hoping to find a Gables-quality restaurant oasis in West Kendall and instead came away feeling completely ripped off. We stopped by for dinner on Sunday night and found the decor delightful - but the novelty stopped there. Our waitress was reluctant to recommend any particular dish and in fact became quite surly after we asked her several times. I agree with the previous reviewer, the food is mediocre. Salad was ok but certainly not worth $10. Mahi Mahi and Osso Buco were visually appealing, presented on atop a mound of mashed potatoes. But both dishes lacked flavor and imagination and did not even do well as leftovers the next day. But the prices are absolutely ridiculous, particularly for West Kendall. When we asked to share a salad starter, we were told that the house policy was to charge $2 to split the salad for us in the kitchen (naturally we opted to share at the table). My friend and I had 2 glasses of wine, shared a salad and had two entrees and the bill was well over $100. We left frustrated and unhappy with the experience, particularly since we were hoping to be supportive and become regular patrons. But we won’t be back and advise that you save your money. In this economy, Chef Adrianne’s won’t last long. ... Read moreImlee
Posted on Sun, 08.24.2008 @ 23:32I love Indian food and have eaten it in restaurants in Miami, New York, Los Angeles, London, Montreal and even Mexico City. But nothing compares to Imlee...it is fabulous. We had the eggplant, spinach, daal, naan and tandoori shrimp (all medium spicy) and each dish was superb. A bit on the expensive side since the vegi dishes are priced as entrees. It's also a small space so make a reservation. My only complaint is that they don't have a location in the Gables!! I will be returning to try more dishes at Imlee.... Read moreCafe at Books & Books - Coral Gables
Posted on Sun, 03.23.2008 @ 22:03I had lunch there on Good Friday. Food was terrible and the service, although friendly, was absurdly slow. My friend had to send her sandwich back and could not get a replacement for over 45 min. The waitress said the kitchen "was a mess". I agree. For $25 pp without any liquor, I can think of a lot of other places to spend my money and have a nice afternoon. I will never go back.... Read more
