It's essentially one big dining area, the tables are close together so you might bump heads with the person sitting at the table next to you. On a weekend night it's always crowded so be prepared to wait for a table. There is also a separate bar/lounge area that's cozy. It's a good place for couples and families alike, though generally it's a mature crowd. The food is always fresh. Simple presentation, no funny business, just the real deal! I've been there several times and have never had anything I didn't like. Love the onion rings! The frozen drinks are delicious as well. The wait staff is OK, inconsistent, sometimes friendly sometimes just OK. But overall it's a fun place to go when you want a mini tropical getaway in the middle of Kendall. If you're thinking of sitting outside, sometimes they have live music, which for me it's a kind of music that gets annoying after a while. Posted on Mon, 05.26.2008 @ 08:26My date and I went to this restaurant on a whim because we pass by it all the time and wanted to check it out. The service was excellent, very friendly staff. Our waiter was able to suggest a wine for my meal that was delicious and paired well. The ambiance was lovely. However the food left much to be desired. The lettuce in our salads was slightly wilted. I had the skirt steak. The sauce it came with was good but there was a lack of seasoning in the food. My date had a lasagna, a speacialty of the day. It was good but not great. The espresso there is delicious, Lavazza. We had passion fruit moose for dessert, a nice light ending to the meal, but again left something to be desired. Overall the food is good but not great.
