Mint Leaf Indian Brasserie
Posted on Sun, 06.08.2008 @ 21:28My wife and I took two friends of ours to this place on Saturday, the 31st of May, 2008. While the food was average to just above, the reason why we considered our experience one-star is because an hour into the restaurant, the manager had the waiter come and ask us "to hurry up" so they could have the table for the people waiting outside. Never in our 40-year experience of dining out have we had such a humiliating experience. What was taking so long was the slow service: first, it took them ten minutes to come to the table and take orders. It took a full fortyfive minutes before we got the entrees. As soon as we finished the entrees, we ordered the dessert. It was when we saw the manager send the waiter to tell us to 'hurry up" - while we were waiting for dessert which took another 12-15 minutes to come. In addition, two of the dishes, the Chana Masala and Tarka Dall, almost tasted as if they were microwaved frozen dishes from the Deep brand of Indian foods. I sincerely hope I am wrong here....
