Posted on Fri, 10.17.2008 @ 16:12I had read the good reviews about this restaurant; so my girlfriends and I decided to go last night. We had a wonderful time!..Our waiter was really nice and attentive. The prices are on the higher end...but the food is worth it; and the apple cotton candy is a wonderful treat. I had the avocado roll and edamame, my friends had the calamari salad, shrimp tempura roll and 2 apple martinis. Overall cost $120 including tax. oh yeah...and the cool tattoos? yeap I still have mine. When my husband saw it he kinda freaked..but I told him it was fake. LOL. Will definitely visit this place again.... Read more

Posted on Wed, 10.15.2008 @ 16:23I definitely agree with your article. I often try to find those "hidden gems" around Miami, from boutiques to family owned restaurants, and some of them are places I love and continue to visit as often as I can. I have many, but is too bad u can't add new businesses on this website. I would love to write about them!... Read more
Posted on Wed, 10.15.2008 @ 16:12I am not a huge fan of buffets because I usually dont eat a lot, but my husband and all my guy friends are fans of this restaurants. Be sure to go on a empty stomach, otherwise u will be overwhelmed by all the meat. I celebrated my graduation there last year. Had to make reservations ahead of time but had an awesome time. The staff is friendly and the food is really good. A bottle of wine per couple? can't go wrong with that!... Read more
Posted on Wed, 10.15.2008 @ 16:08I visited La Granja this weekend. A friend of mine and I felt like having some peruvian chicken. I have been to the one in Kendall, but had never been to this particular location. Anyways, the place was packed!. They serve everything from Rotiserie chicken, to lomo saltado, ceviche, papa a la huancaina, etc. The price for a quarter chicken, with rice, beans, fries and an inca kola was around 6 bucks. Not bad at all, and they serve a lottt! I was so full I couldn't even finish it. This place is sure growing, they seem to have a lot of other locations around south florida.... Read more

We bought a package that included 40 minutes in the alpha massage capsule....it was the first time I was inside one of those space looking machines...but to be honest...it was quite relaxing. (U must not be afraid of being in tight spaces). After wards we had a couple's bliss massage!...ohhhhh lorddd....that was great!!!!. God bless the hands of my masseuse, she was amazing! Since we bought a package, we were able to also use the saunas, steam rooms and had access to the beach. It was definitely a day we both enjoyed and felt relaxed and pampered!... Read more

Posted on Wed, 10.15.2008 @ 15:59I have to say the service at this hotel is outstanding. I reserved a private room at the Isabella restaurant two years ago for my parents 40th anniversary. I wanted to have an intimate family dinner and everything was exactly how I wanted. The place was decorated with fresh flowers, the cake I had ordered was exquisite and the most important part of it all is that my parents had an awesome time. it was very intimate and the food was delicious. After our dinner, I also reserved a suite for my parents to spend a romantic night. Of course, I went to check the suite and it was impeccable. This hotel is elegant and the staff goes out of their way to meet your every need.... Read more
Posted on Mon, 10.13.2008 @ 18:02Visited IKEA for the first time yesterday and wow!...I didn't think the store was so big!!. It's kinda overwhelming at first and it takes a while to get used to seeing so much stuff! but it kinda neat!. The decor of each room whether its a living room area/kitchen or kids room is very modern and space saving. Great for college students, couples and even small families. Like most of the reviewers said, don't expect high end furniture that can last a lifetime. I found a very nice comforter, some utensils for the kitchen, a rug and some stuff for the bathroom. Very affordable prices!.... Read more

Posted on Wed, 10.08.2008 @ 17:58Well this place is outstanding if u like meat!. I rather have fish but I can still appreciate the flavor of a good churrasco. First of , the view of the bay is beautiful. Don't go there for mother or father's day because it will be packed! We went last year for mother's day and had to wait almost an hour to be seated. But on all regular days do make a reservation ahead of time. Again, try to go there with an empty stomach....they will serve u and a LOT!. Totally worth the price.... Read more

Posted on Wed, 10.08.2008 @ 17:46I didn't even know there was a vegetarian restaurant in Doral!. I got so excited when I saw it that I had to go in. The cafeteria is rather small but they offer up to 15 different kinds of dishes Monday-Saturday from 11:00-4:00pm. Unfortunately I got there around 4:30 and the kitchen was already closed. What I did have was a very tasty mango and strawberry juice. The lady who prepared it was really nice and asked me to go back to try their dishes. I am really thinking of taking her up on that offer. They also sell all kinds of vitamins, health books and even clothing.... Read more

Posted on Wed, 10.08.2008 @ 00:14I re-visited Pardo's last weekend with my parents. We tried the family meal which comes with one whole chicken and four sides. The sides we chose included the tacu-tacu, french fries, corn and fried yucas. Oh God! what a delight!!!!!!....the french fries are made from yellow peruvian potatoes which taste so much better than regular american fries; and that spicy sauce they put on the table...YUMMY!!! I have to admit service was a bit slower this time because it was really packed, but nevertheless, the waitress was really nice and attentive. We couldn't finish it all so we took some home. The total for the family meal, with two appetizers and 3 inca kolas was $60..not bad for a delicious meal!... Read more

So yesterday I finally had the pleasure of going with my hubby. I ordered the andiamo pizza and he ordered the hawaiian. I was so happy. I am personally a fan of thin crust pizza, so it was perfect!. The service was great too, Maria was our waitress, she was very nice and attentive. We did not know that the whole area, meaning all those restaurants are owned by the same person!. That must be nice. oh and she also recommended a place called redline? I might checked it out soon.... Read more

My dad was taking it all in..I could see it in his face. He is very much into history and admiring art, so he was having an amazing time. The views are breathtaking, and walking through the gardens feels like you are going back in time. We had an awesome time, worth repeating. Posted on Tue, 10.07.2008 @ 23:49Well, La covacha is a great option if you live in the Doral Area. Since I do, it's very convenient b/c u wont be doing much driving. Just watch out for the cops who usually park outside...so try to assign a designated driver. I've been celebrating my bday there for the past 2 years and is great! I usually reserve the ViP section which is pretty much secluded from the rest of the club and gives u a feeling of having a private party with ur own personal dj. I love it there! Plus when u get the vip, bar is open from 10-11:30pm!. A bottle of grey goose is $250..not bad...and everyone u invite gets in for free bf 12... Read more

Posted on Tue, 10.07.2008 @ 22:00Visited this venue last night. It was my first time there and I loved the decor, very chic and trendy. Even though the place is out in the open, the big fans make it cool and provide a nice atmosphere to talk and relax without having to worry about freezy hair or sweating. I heard the appetizers were good but I wasn't able to try any. Nice overall service. I also liked the secluded tables to the side, they seem more private. Will definitely visit this place again.... The music is great, just be careful if you want to get a table close to dancing floor, they will be taken if u get there after 11pm. We were lucky to get one last time we went.
