Easter Eats
Posted on Wed, 03.31.2010 @ 17:09To offer another affordable (but fabulous) grand buffet brunch option, I'd checkout Talula on South Beach for only $35/person. Kids under 13 half off and under 5 eat free. They have a beautiful garden patio and a nice spread of breakfast items, chef dishes, really yummy salads and desserts. Not to mention they have a separate menu included with omelets and steak and eggs to order....it's an amazing deal and one of the best neighborhood restaurants on the beach. http://bit.ly/EzpyI... Posted on Sun, 03.14.2010 @ 11:14Best brunches on the beach: Ritz, The Setai and Talula. I love the first two but I usually only go for special occasions as it is a bit pricey for a weekly outing. Brunch is one of my favorite dining outings so I hit up Talula. I love sitting in the garden patio, and they have a great spread of breakfast items, chef's choice dishes, salads, desserts and a separate menu of omelets and steak and eggs to order for only $29. Cheapest and best brunch for quality and location, hands down. ... Read more
Posted on Sun, 03.14.2010 @ 10:48The brunch is my favorite buffet brunch on the beach. It's $29, which is unheard of on South Beach, with a nice spread of breakfast items, chef's choice fish/beef/chicken dishes, salads and desserts. They have a side menu you can order off of for omelets and steak and eggs to order. For I think $15-$16 more you can get unlimited champagne and vodka drinks with the brunch. Cheapest and best brunch for the quality and location, hands down. ... Read moreMiami Beer Bars
Posted on Thu, 03.11.2010 @ 11:51The Abbey and The Room have been my beach spots for beer for years. Great spots. Also, don't forget about Abraxas on SoBe (4th & Meridian). They have a great wood bar/lounge and carry close to 200 beers. Great spot for beer connoisseurs of the beach as well.... Read moreMarch Means Happy Hour
Posted on Thu, 03.11.2010 @ 11:44El Scorpion's Taco Tuesdays are great. It's nice to see another great spot popping up South of 5th that trumps two of my favorite things...tacos and tequila! Another great neighborhood spot not mentioned that has a ridiculous happy hour, Talula Restaurant & Bar on 23rd and Collins. Half off all drinks from 5-8pm (premium drinks and cocktails included) every Tuesday-Friday, and they have a tapas menu with $6-8 plates. The drinks are great and the food is even better. Great NYC style bar and feel which is a great change of pace on SoBe.... Read moreTalula Restaurant & Bar
Posted on Mon, 03.08.2010 @ 15:55I'm a local of Miami Beach and this is my neighborhood spot. It's the epitome of the 'off the beaten path' (i.e. not on Ocean Drive or Lincoln Road) hideaway that you try to find when you go to other cities. It feels different than every other restaurant on the beach, even though it's proximity to everything is great. It's got a real NYC neighborhood spot feel. The food is excellent. Really thoughtful and creative food that seems to attract alot of foodies, namely New Yorkers and northeasterns alike. They constantly have new specials which keeps me coming by regularly. They also have a tapas menu of small plates for $6-10 that I usually enjoy at the bar. The brunch is my favorite buffet brunch on the beach. It's a ridiculous deal. I don't know what happened with the other review of the brunch, but I've been several times in the past year to their 'Locals Brunch' and it has been great. Cheapest and best brunch for the quality and location, hands down. Nevertheless, if you go in sit at the bar and have a drink with Mike. Great bartender who knows his stuff and try to eat outside in the garden patio if the weather is nice. It's a great hideaway from the Miami Beach norm.... Read more
