Miami is to me...
I am a Puerto Rican with a huge love for Miami and everything it has to offer. Some of my favorite pastimes include spinning, pin-up modeling, trying out cocktails for my column, reading good teen novels a...

Posted on Mon, 03.09.2009 @ 12:41One thing we can definitely say about Miami is that we sure know how to keep the party going during rough times.
Posted on Tue, 02.24.2009 @ 12:08The best! I love this place.

Posted on Thu, 02.12.2009 @ 10:50Four hour dinner?! Sheesh. And in this economy there shouldn't be a guy snarkily offering expensive wines to a couple who want a deal.
Posted on Wed, 02.11.2009 @ 10:40Smart...I am definitely downloading these.
Posted on Tue, 02.10.2009 @ 12:32Now that was quite a sight at The Vagabond.
Posted on Wed, 02.04.2009 @ 12:28I can't wait! So much fun. My birthday cakes were all about Care Bears and Hello Kitty...ahh...memories.

Posted on Fri, 01.23.2009 @ 14:05Hey, 6 cents are 6 cents...you can cram 'em up in a good ol' piggy bank and wait a few months and you got at least a $1!
Posted on Tue, 01.13.2009 @ 18:18BLOOD??? ON THE METRORAIL?? And I thought having a bum running after me, pack of smokes hanging out of his shirt yelling that I had "the body of a black woman", was bad...this is definitely utterly gross! And unsafe!... Read more
Posted on Tue, 01.06.2009 @ 15:31I loved your blog. Yes, matresses are mad expensive. I inherited one from the hubby, that his parents gave to him as a gift back in the day. I think he saw it at Costco. If you need mattress finding help, lemme know...we have the memory foam-knockoff, or something.... Read more
Posted on Thu, 01.01.2009 @ 15:20I love Fox's! You can catch my hubby and I having brewskies there whenever we have a chance. I love this blog because I can relate...we all have special watering holes to hit up when we go home and I love the laid-back spots in P.R. where you can ger $1.50 local beer without having to bust out your stillettos. Cheers!... Read more
Posted on Wed, 12.31.2008 @ 13:37Downtown only has 10 Minute Manicure, but the wait is usually intense and the staff isn't as experienced.
Posted on Mon, 12.29.2008 @ 22:18Condo bash here we come! This looks a lot better than SOBE, though.
Posted on Tue, 12.09.2008 @ 10:59The doorman was chatting us up on a recent night and even ran after us to thank us for coming to his establishment. Awesome.
Posted on Tue, 12.09.2008 @ 01:08I must say, I have eaten at every single restaurant mentioned here and love their food. I research before I write any of my stories and choose my words wisely. Then again, everyone is entitled to their own opinion. That's what Miami.com is for. And no, the picture isn't mine. Glad you read the story!... Read more

Posted on Thu, 11.20.2008 @ 16:06Oh no! Poor bunny :( It must be so lonely without cupholder. Darnit! How will you be able to cradle pumpkin spice lattes.
Posted on Sat, 11.15.2008 @ 15:33Amen to your blog. The PR mess was my favorite part. Why e-mail and put people on "lists" to only have the press "beg" for coverage? I'm snuggling up to a book as we speak. I'll try not to feel big-bootied tonight at the fashion show. But it's going to be hard. Darn supermodels!!... Read more

Posted on Tue, 10.28.2008 @ 15:34I also wonder if JEM was anime, you know? Their face expressions and hairdos are awesome. Needless to say, Seb loves anime. At least Bleach, Naruto and some other more fun ones. I'm not a big fan, but some of them are fun to watch.... Read more
Posted on Wed, 10.22.2008 @ 16:45I love this! We should get people to review in español, too.
Posted on Mon, 10.20.2008 @ 09:35I love Halloween! And thanks for sharing this story. What are we dressing up as?
Posted on Thu, 10.16.2008 @ 13:31After this I'll never see the commercials between a baseball game the same ever again. I'll be eagerly awaiting the erectile dysfuntion ad, for sure. Those always make me giggle. What, bathtubs aren't sexy? I thought they totally were...... Read more
Posted on Wed, 10.08.2008 @ 11:15I love your blog, as usual :) And I totally agree...granted, when I saw The Walkmen it was in the now non-existent three-story 80's and indie-music spot, Soho Lounge, and it was bound to be packed there...but it's sad to see such an awesome band playing and no one taking the time to show up. It's depressing. I hope this doesn't stop them from coming on over to MIA again...or any other cool band, for that matter. Sigh.... Read more
Posted on Thu, 10.02.2008 @ 16:53AH! It all sounds like it was so exciting. I need a music festival...ASAP. Like my Coachella experience where I saw Coldplay and Nine Inch Nails back to back only to be even more swept away by Kasabian, The Raveonettes and The Futureheads in smaller stages. I have high hopes for Keane coming here to promote their new album. I'm babbling now though...point is, Miami needs more music like you very clearly mentioned. Let's hope Langerado somewhat saves us and The Walkmen gives us a brief taste of good rock before other acts come along (crossing fingers).... Read more
Posted on Wed, 09.24.2008 @ 15:34I love it...this is exactly the same way I felt during my wedding. It was amazing to see people from all my life there to celebrate with me...representing different times in my life that have meant so much to me. Having fun is about sharing memories and being yourself. And that's something a lot of people have forgotten. Cool pic! :)... Read more
Posted on Wed, 09.17.2008 @ 15:46It's so funny you mentioned this in your blog because I posted the story on Facebook. It made me so sad to see this happen to such a cool place and it makes me think about the disrespectful way people can treat other's property. Sad indeed. I am rooting for them to make it and get back on their feet. They will.... Read more
Posted on Mon, 09.15.2008 @ 14:17I love your blog for many things...especially the fact that I agree with you on reading. So many people have tossed this habit to the backburner. I still smile whenever I get my hands on an old R.L. Stine Fear Street book or a Sweet Valley High oldie. I can't imagine a childhood without losing myself in a book, and worry that the upcoming generation is going to miss out on that. And that whole banned books thing? I absolutely get mad at that. People should have a choice on what book to read...not have that choice be made for them.... Read more
Posted on Wed, 09.10.2008 @ 16:09I agree with you. Ever since I moved to Miami four years ago, there hasn't been a place that has felt more like home to me, yet at the same time made me feel so isolated. In San Juan, we take pride on our neighborhoods and have no problem lashing out...I feel like Miami needs to join forces and feel more passion for all the amazing things the city has to offer. People read online blurbs yet have nothing to say about the subject...weird. No one from Miami seems to join in on any deep discussions... even if it's just a random "heavy discussions" about their favorite spa or lunch spot. It's quite disheartening. But I have faith in us and in this place I now call home.... Read more

Posted on Mon, 08.25.2008 @ 19:50As always, awesome blog...and I agree with the fact that bikers should be careful on the streets. No need to get all iffy when we don't catch 'em through our window no matter how hard we try to.... Read more

Posted on Tue, 06.17.2008 @ 16:37It's so funny but I relate so much to this post, especially after just having my mother visit from San Juan. It felt good to take her out to dinner and buy her something cute at Walgreens. It made me feel all grown up and able to take care of myself...and others who we lovingly call family. Although it's cool to get free stuff here and there, right? Sigh.... Read more
Posted on Tue, 06.10.2008 @ 17:54I agree...I was so happy to see this band in South Beach out of all places. I dig the Culture Room and Revolution though...but The Fillmore has promise of becoming a true Miami indie rock spot.... Read more

Posted on Mon, 05.19.2008 @ 14:59I love the beet at Zeke's...I enjoy traveling around the world due to a cold brew from somewhere out there that only cost me $3. The Lincoln Road entertainers are ok...some better than others, and that's just fine. I love it that Miami offers people the chance to let loose and be artsy anywhere they wish. Ah...freedom....
