Hannibal Buress on stage

If you're not familiar with budding comedian Hannibal Buress, you may want to check him out on Sunday at The Stage (170 NE 38th St  Miami). (Event details below). Buress currently co-hosts the "Eric Andre Show," which airs late night on Adult Swim. He has appeared on David Letterman, Late Night with Jimmy Fallon, Jimmy Kimmel Live! and many more shows. Turns out, he's not just funny on and off the screen, a quick glance onto his Twitter account proved that he's also funny online.

We had to ask Buress the story behind his latest tweets, which included tips on how to make soccer more interesting, a request for Miamians to arrive on time to his Sunday show and twitter searches for the word stabbed. Oh, and we can't forget the pictures of Spongebob Squarepants breakdancing at his 30th birthday earlier this month.

For our first TwitterView we ask @hannibalburess to explain his latest tweets.

"I'll be at the Stage in Miami on Sunday the 17th... Miami people, if you're gonna be late just be like 15 mins late."

Explanation: Miami people are late as ***k to stuff! It's really about when I did a show in The Fillmore. The show started about 10-15 minutes late. I had two opening acts. 40 minutes after start time I get on stage. The room is half full. By the end of my set the room was full. People showed up an hour late to a show that started an hour late. People show up late to the Heat games. The Heat games are still half empty in the first quarter.

"*searches the word "stabbed" on Twitter,"

Explanation: That was the blackout during the Superbowl. I knew people would be like, 'Oh somebody's gonna be gettin' stabbed,' because of the Ray Lewis thing.

On Feb. 5, "RT: Sh*$ got real weird at the end of @hannibalburess bday party last night. I found out that Spongebob can breackdance."

Explanation: I had my 30th birthday on February 4th. I wanted to do it big. So, I hired costume characters to come through. I hired Spongebob, Mario and Alvin from Alvin in the Chipmunks. I did my hit single Gibbersih Rap with them on stage and ballerinas. I did the song nine times and Spongebob and Mario and all of them were on stage killin' it. It was a lot of fun. Costume characters make everything better. They were rockin' out. It was a good time.

"I just solved soccer because the current model sucks. Put an extra ball on the field. That ***** would be bananas."

Explanation: I don't like soccer. We were writing for the Eric Andre Show when I thought of that. We were talking about why I don't like certain sports. Soccer I feel like is glorified jogging. There's not that much scoring happening. If the game is one nothing, then really that was about two hours of dudes just jogging around and one goal was scored. So, if you put two balls on the field, then it's like two separate games going on. That would create the chaos that I need for soccer to be interesting.
