Former model Marjorie Kinay has brought a bit of the exotic to South Miami. Her store Marjorie's Bazaar is overflowing with one-of-a-kind jewelry, scarves, home decor and footwear for both men and women. Kinay was inspired to open the shop after visiting Turkey years ago.
Today, she fills her shop with artisan made trinkets straight from there. There's shoes made out of leather like gladiator sandals and boots. Walls brimming with baubles such as the Empira and Artemis collections which are all fashioned out of sterling silver and loads of silk and cotton scarves that can be wrapped around one's neck, worn as a belt or as the ideal hair accessory.
Kinay said she decided to open the store to cater to people who want something original and made with good craftmanship. "You can get unique items here that make you stand out," said Kinay.
Items in the shop start at $35 and up. Check out: www.marjoriesbazaar.com
