Youtube stars The Glam Twinz head to Books & Books to talk hair

Beauty tutorials are a huge deal on Youtube (even Billboard is getting into the business), providing a platform for those with the enviable ability to paint a decent smoky eye or pin a romantic up-do. Such is the case with twin sisters Kelsey and Kendra Murrell, a team of Youtube stars who have channeled their love of experimenting with their look into an actual channel.

The duo, which has more than 500,000 subscribers on Youtube and has upwards of 40 million views on various tutorials on make-up application and hair care, is bringing these tips to the page with the book “The Glam Twinz Guide to Longer, Healthier Hair” (Mango, $16.95 paperback). The book is based on the tips provided in one of their most popular videos, a tutorial for women who want to learn how the Atlanta natives maintain their lusicous locks. The sisters’ channel skyrocketed to popularity as they documented the months-long transition they went through the grow out their perms, which involved a series of videos with tips on deep conditioning treatments, cute updos and other advice that proved golden for women who want return to their hair’s natural texture.

The sisters will be in Books & Books in Miami on Sept. 17 to discuss and sign copies of their book.
