WeWork launches a series of free parties and activities this week

The innovative shared workspace concept, WeWork, is hosting a week full of interactive activities do take of advantage of during your work day break and night time events free of charge to the public in celebration of the collaborative spirit and the local community. To help you navigate all the fun to-do’s, we’ve put together a complete guide so you can plan your Community Kick-Off event schedule.

 

Tuesday, October 20

What: Lunch & Learn Tech Tuesday – an interactive workshop focusing on innovation and technology, and how both are shaping Miami’s landscape. The event will be moderated by Christopher Sopher (New Tropic), and panelists will include Will Weinraub (Live Ninja), Melissa Medina (eMerge Americas), Johanna Mikkola (Wyncode), Brian Breslin (Refresh Miami) and Jon Stuart (FIU Makerbot Lab). Taquiza will provide complimentary tacos.

What: Cocktails & Conversations Work of Art – guests are invited to take a deeper look into Miami’s art scene, focusing on subjects such as how art affects the work space. Moderatd by Esther Park (National YoungArts Foundation). Panelists include Books Bischoff (Primary Projects), Benjamin Hollingsworth (local artist), Tommy Pace (ICA) and Jillian Mayer (local artist).

Wednesday, October 21

What: Afternoon Beauty & Grooming – ladies can get a makeover by makeup team Glamsquad while gentlemen receive hot shaves by Junior & Hatter. 

When/Where: 1-5pm at WeWork, 350 Lincoln Road, Miami Beach.

 

What: Create Your Personal Brand – sip cocktails and learn the keys to building your personal brand, blogging to the community and capturing the perfect Instagram photo, as told by entrepreneurs and inspiring execs like Miguel McKelvey (Founder, WeWork), Lee Schrager (Founder, South Beach Food & Wine Festival), Simonett Pereira (Founder, Shop Style Mafia), Matthew Chevallard (Founder, Del Toro Shoes), and Alexander Mijares (Mijares Art). This discussion will be moderated by Alan Philops (Senior Vice President, Brand Experience – WeWork). Complimentary bites will be provided by Pubbelly Sushi.

Thursday, October 22

What: Yard Bird Pop-Up & House Party – sample culinary creations by South Beach favorite food spot Yardbird and hand-crafted creative coktails by Broken Shaker followed by a throwback party by Peachfuzz at WeWork. Libations and shots of tequila will be provided by Pernod-Ricard.
