While some people consider smoking a cigar a luxury and think rum is a drink to be consumed only at an all-inclusive resort, Miami’s proximity to the Caribbean makes us great – and avid – consumers of both items. So why not have a festival dedicated to these Caribbean faves?
This Saturday cigar aficionados and rum lovers will go nuts at the first annual Tobacco & Rum Festival, being held in collaboration with the Miami International Wine Fair. The festival, in partnership with Cigar Snob magazine, will feature premium boutique cigars and tastings of rums from the Caribbean.
Guests will enjoy live music as they make their way through cigar and rum vendors, tasting, testing and learning to pair cigars with rums for optimal flavor combinations.
Saturday, Sept. 24 from 8 p.m.-midnight. Tempo Miami, 1100 Biscayne Blvd., Miami; Tickets $50 at this link.
