Orchid, an exotic pop-culture infused cabaret which mixes song, dance, burlesque, aerial acrobatics and variety arts, gets ready to make the Miami Design District its home beginning Wednesday, Nov. 14.

Propelled by imaginative mash ups from some of the greatest popular music artists of the day, the show blooms inside an intimate, antiqued “mirror-tent”- an in-the-round performance space adorned with stained glass, red velvet and chandeliers. Just think of it as part Moulin Rouge and part Cabaret, with plenty of sensory overload.

“We are delighted to debut Orchid in the cultural epicenter of Miami’s Design District,” said Martin LaSalle, President of Pleasure Garden Entertainment. “We have brought together leading creative talent in the worlds of pop culture, theater and circus to give our audiences an unprecedented entertainment experience.”

Director William Baker, who has worked with the likes of Rihanna, Britney Spears and Kylie Minogue, helms this exotic journey through Orchid’s Garden of Eden and through scenic representations of city nightlife, convents and swank gymnasiums. The show opens in an enchanting garden populated with strange and erotic creatures such as Poison Ivy, Honeysuckle Rose, Lily and the Bee Keeper. Orchid, the perfect and beautiful creation of a reclusive and melancholic Master Gardener, searches for happiness through worlds that are intoxicated by her beauty, mystery and sensuality.

Tickets for Orchid range from $49 to $119 per person. Recommended age for patrons is 16 and older. Orchid tickets are now on sale at

Regular performance schedule: Wednesdays and Thursdays at 8 p.m.; Fridays and Saturdays at 7:30 p.m. and 10:30 p.m. and Sundays at 6 p.m. No performances on Mondays or Tuesdays.

The Orchid show is just one component of an entertainment experience tabbed “The Pleasure Garden”. A contemporary throwback to the “pleasure gardens” of the 19th century, the destination will fuse the Orchid show with a stylized lounge and bar area as well as an imaginative pop-up culinary destination by famed chef Michelle Bernstein on the premises.

The performance venue will be located at 38th St. and Biscayne Boulevard, on the outskirts of the Miami Design District in Miami. Both valet parking and self-parking options will be available.
