Stretching isn’t just the prelude to a fitness session at Stretch Zone — it’s the entire workout. At the Aventura-based studio, guests are strapped down and bent like a pretzel where the end result promises increased flexibility and more.
“Everyone sits for 50 percent of the waking hours in a seated position,” Stretch Zone inventor Jordan Gold says. “The body makes you the shape of a chair. We’re the anti-chair method,” he adds.
Think of Stretch Zone as the cure to “sitting disease.” Each session lasts 30 minutes (and cost approximately $45 each) where practioners maneuver guests into specific positions yielding increased range of motion, improved athletic skills, increased muscle relaxation, relief from stiffness and soreness, and an overall feeling of bliss.
Now that’s a stretch.
