So you think you can dance? Prove it on National Dance Day with the Miami City Ballet

Whose got the moves like Jagger? Anyone in Miami who does should head straight to Collins Park and the Miami City Ballet Studios in Miami Beach on July 30 for an afternoon celebrating dance in all of its forms.

Launched in 2010 by the Dizzy Feet Foundation and made popular by the hit TV show “So You Think You Can Dance,” National Dance Day is a tradition that has been celebrated in Los Angeles and Washington D.C. and now is getting its own Miami event thanks to the Miami City Ballet.

The event will feature an open house at the Miami City Ballet studios where dance lovers can sample classes or sign up for the next season. In Collins Park, they will host a dance party with music provided by DJ Hotpants where the Miami City Ballet dancers will show participants the routine for this year’s flash mob (video featured above if you want to get a jump on it). Also on the roster to participate are the Miami Dolphin Cheerleaders, who will sign autographs for fans as well.

There will be refreshments by Vita Coco and ice cream by Azucar Ice Cream Company for tired dancers.

Bring your dancing shoes!
