Score touts itself as being South Beach’s largest gay club, offering a multidimensional nightlife experience.

Score’s new space, at 1437 Washington Ave., has assumed various identities over the years including Snatch, Lux and Shock, none of which endured. However, with its loyal following, Score is positioned to avoid the same fate. The team behind Score will also be taking on the former Liquid space on the third floor, which will act as a separate venue for TRADE but can be used as an extension for Score on busy weekends like Gay Pride, Winter Party and White Party.

Score’s new location will feature a larger space as well as state-of-the-art lighting and sound that will allow for even-larger editions of current theme nights like Tuesday’s Planeta Macho. The new space also can accommodate more famous talent and nights like Bigger Saturdays, which will be an expanded dance party.

(The bar’s famous frozen cosmos are strong, so watch out.)

On Fridays, kick it on the dancefloor to the sounds of local DJs who play a gambit of house music and pop mashups at Score’s Filthy Gorgeous Fridays party. DJ Abel (of Alegria fame) has been known to spin sporadically on Saturdays. Tuesdays feature Planeta Macho, a Latin night that brings all the Latino boys “to the yard.” On Thursdays, enter through the lounge’s back door for Score’s Creme Lounge, with DJ Pride mixing house music with an accompanying beat of a Cuban conga drummer. Wind down Sundays with karaoke night starting at 9:30pm in the front bar.

Cover: Charges vary. Thursdays and Sundays are free, but Fridays and Saturdays always have a charge. If you want to get on the guest list for Flithy Gorgeous Fridays, go to and sign up.
