Ramrod, heavy on the “Levi and Leather” scene, is where men come to hang out with men, the boys are left outside and you may just find your “daddy”.

Located in Fort Lauderdale, you don’t go to the Ramrod to order specialty drinks or frozen daiquiris. Bring your thirst for beer, vodka or the basics. The vibe is cool and friendly (no attitude here). The crowd is typically older and not one for shaving their chests (or backs for that matter). Forget the cologne and skip on the deodorant. This is a man’s bar. The decor is dark and gritty; a chain-link fence lines some of the wall giving a street feel. Televisions with broken glass screens stream videos of hot man-on-man action all night long.

The Ramrod isn’t roomy. The main bar takes up most of the inside area, leaving a tight space with just nooks and crannies to hang out. Squeeze through and make your way to the small, outside patio and second bar. Exiting the patio you go through the pool room where the table dominates the space and is flanked by serious players.

Looking to buy some leather gear? Perhaps a sliver cock ring or a dildo? Visit the Leather Werks store inside the bar equipped to sell you whatever your fetish craves.

The best nights to go are Fetish Fridays, Caged Saturdays and Leather Sundays. Hot Ash Cigar Night on Thursday goes from 9 p.m. to midnight. Feeling extra raunchy? Their monthly Pig Dance takes place the first Saturday of the month. Daily happy hour is from 6 p.m. – 9 p.m. with 2-for-1 drink specials.

Parking is limited in the front of the club but comes at a cost. You can also find parking across the street in the lots of closed local establishments. There are usually parking attendants on site to help you navigate the process.
