Locust RoundtablesDomingo Castillo and Liz Shannon think laziness is important to making good art. In consideration of ideas from figures such as Paul Lafargue, Robert Louis Stevenson, Virginia Woolf, Bertrand Russell, Simone De Beauvoir, Marcel Duchamp, and Mladen Stilinovic, they intend to disagree about how and why laziness is important to the process of being creative. Sit down and talk to the artists yourself at one of the best local galleries.

The Miami Soul TrainAll aboard the Miami Soul Train for a night of Funky tunes courtesy of Miami-Dade Public Transit. Come engage with Miami’s public transportation system in a new and exciting way. The whole celebration will culminate in the ultimate Miami Jam led by local favorites, Spam Allstars! If you don’t get a pair of headphones, have no fear: DJ Le Spam will be spinning at the lot all night long.

Full Moon Drum CircleSome Native American tribes called the August Moon the “Sturgeon Moon” because they knew that the sturgeon of the Great Lakes and Lake Champlain were most readily caught during this phase. They also called August’s Moon the “Full Green Corn Moon.” Bring your gypsy skirts, your hip scarves, your veils, your drums, your tambourines and anything you need to dance the night away.

Wynwood Reggae Party – Complot Entertainment brings a new reggae party at The Wynwood Yard! Have a Friday night jam with local bands like Bachaco and Caserloops, plus food and drinks galore.

Tribal Full Moon YogaHarness the power of the full moon at this Full Moon yoga class led by Sharon Aluma and Pablo Lucero with sounds from The Urban Shaman. The Miami FleaSwing by and enjoy the local community with a Bookleggers Library pop-up. Use the Green Mobility Network bike valet and stop by the kid’s corner by Little Creative Souls for some creative crafts and face painting. Check out the amazing creations of local artists, adopt a puppy at Jamie’s Rescue, or get your hands henna-fied. There will be vintage treasures, vinyl, and more thrift finds that every before. P.S. The Salty Donut will be popping up.

Classic SundaysJoin Sweat Records for the third Miami edition of Classic Album Sundays.
