Pérez Art Museum Miami (PAMM) and Poplife, the team behind Miami’s famously sought-after and sold-out independent musical parties, are launching PAMM Third Thursdays: Poplife Social.
PAMM Third Thursdays: Poplife Social will take place from 6 – 9 p.m. every third Thursday of the month through September and kicks off March 19 with a rare live session by record producer and club DJ Arthur Baker, who’s best known for his work the Beastie Boys.
Verde restaurant and bar will offer happy hour drink and food specials while guests listen to music, enjoy the waterfront, and explore the galleries for $16 (free for members). New exhibitions at PAMM include Eugenio Espinoza: Unruly Supports (1970 – 1980), Victoria Gitman: Desiring Eye, and Project Gallery: Diego Bianchi.
A social media-based scavenger will add an extra element to the party giving guests the chance to win food and drink tickets, among other prizes. Hands-on opportunities to create/make art will also be available.
Next up on April 16: Jellybean Benitez is set to headline on PAMM’s East Portico with his signature remix style that earned him a DJ residency at New York’s Studio 54, and work with Madonna, Paul McCartney, Fleetwood Mac, and Whitney Houston. Additional musical acts will be announced separately.
