Patricia and Phillip Frost Museum of Science Explores the Intersection of Art and Science with Curious Vault Collaborations 002 on July 14

The Patricia and Phillip Frost Museum of Science presents “Curious Vault Collaborations 002” on Tuesday, July 14 in one of the last events to take place at its current location before moving to Museum Park next year.

The museum teamed up with local artists and organizations to explore the intersection of art and science with a special emphasis on the past, present and future of flight. A new piece titled, “Insight Flight,” will be unveiled by sculptor Robert Chambers and University of Miami professor and director of the Aerodynamics and CFD Lab Dr. GeCheng Zha, while guests enjoy free books from Spaceleggers (courtesy of the mobile library Bookleggers), a musical and multimedia performance by DJ Le Spam of City of Progress and Lance Vertok, a moderated discussion on the event’s theme, Shake Shack burgers, and Tito’s vodka cocktails from Gramps.

Ten “Miami Cityscapes” by local artists— Edouard Duval Carrie, Agustina Woodgate, Cesar Santos (pictured), Emmett Moore, Felice Grodin, Jenny Brillhart, Leyden Casanova Rodriguez, Maritza Molina, Monica of TM Sisters and Pablo Cano— will be available for purchase through the event’s exclusive auction, along with limited-edition items from Bookleggers and City of Progress.

Tickets are $15 per person (purchase here) and proceeds go to benefit the three Knight Arts Challenge Winners participating and providing programming: Bookleggers Library, City of Progress, and the Patricia and Phillip Frost Museum of Science series “Science Art Cinema.” Museum members and Frost Science Young Patrons receive free admission (code: PPFMOSM).
