National YoungArts Week presents a week-long series of cultural offerings from the latest crop of fellows

In celebration of National YoungArts Week, there are several opportunities to watch people who exude talent, which is a refreshing change of pace from watching people completely devoid of talent (Kardash-we’re looking at you).

Among those opportunities is a classical, jazz and pop voice performance at 8 p.m. Monday, Jan. 4 at the New World Center’s Main Hall, 17th St., featuring performers from all over the country. Tickets are $15.

Tuesday, Jan. 5, at 8 p.m. there’s a theater and jazz instrumental performance, also for $15, and at 8 p.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 6 is a dance performance and cinematic arts screening. Thursday at 8 p.m. is the classical music concert.

Friday the scribes take over the YoungArts Campus on Biscayne at 6 p.m. for readings and the visual arts, photography and design exhibition will be on display int he the campus’ galleries.

There’s a whole lot more going on, including a big gala Saturday, Jan. 9 on the YoungArts campus honoring Rosie Perez and a slew of seriously talented folk. For information on the YoungArts Week shows, go to www.youngarts.org/yaw. For info on the gala, go to youngarts.org/gala.
