The Museum of Contemporary Art of North Miami (MOCA), 770 NE 125th St., unveils its first exhibition under new leadership Thursday, Sept. 25 from 7 – 9 p.m. with “Third Space: Inventing the Possible,” a group show highlighting works by local and international artists inspired by the concept of the power and efforts of a collective.
Museum Director Babacar M’Bow plans for this exhibit to end speculations concerning the future of contemporary art at the museum. Supplemental programming includes “MOCA Contemporary Dialogues” on Saturday, Sept. 27 with select artists in conversation with guests and the launch of the “MOCA Moving Images” series Wednesday, Oct. 1 with a film screening of Nereyda Garcia-Ferraz’s biopic of artist Ana Mendieta titled “Fuego de Tierra.”
