Caribbean Marketplace Grand Opening
Friday, July 18, 4:30PM – 7PM – Caribbean Marketplace, 5925 NE 2nd Ave, Miami (Besides the Little Haiti Cultural Center)
The long awaited reopening of the Caribbean Marketplace kicks off with a ribbon cutting at 4:30PM and a general reception from 5PM – 7PM. The 9,500-square-foot space will include a refreshment and concession area and space for arts, crafts, and retail vendors and is is also available for private events and community gatherings. The hours will be from Thursday to Sunday from 11am – 11pm
Big Night in Little Haiti

Not only is Nu Look performing at this month’s Big Night In Little Haiti but it is also the grand reopening of the Caribbean Marketplace next door and a Big Night photo exhibition in the gallery. Enjoy music from the Tap Tap Band, and check out the wonderful selection of crafts and speciality vendors. The hands-on art activities for kids are sponsored by Positive Impact Foundation/Kose Famn and Bass Museum of Art. After party at 7th Circuit with the Moksha Roots Allstars and special guests. Free and open to the public.
3rd Friday Remix featuring Case performing live

R&B artist Case performs live at this month’s 3rd Friday Remix. The gospel/inspirational jazz happy hour starts at 6pm followed by smooth R&B at 8pm and is hosted by comedian Larry Dogg with much by house band Kingdom G. Overtown Music Festival featuring Raheem Devaughn

Miami Broward Carnival 30th Year Celebration Official Launch

The kickoff event for the Miami Broward Carnival season gives a taste of the vibrant carnival event that will be held at the Miami-Dade County Fairgrounds on Sunday, October 12, 2014. The launch The launch will feature the rich, bold and colorful costumes of the over 20 masquerade bands and 11 junior masquerade bands that will be participating in the parade of bands. Live performance by Sapphire (Lead singer for Red Hot Flames), backed by local Miami band On Point. Music for the night is powered by Sound Revolution, Maestro, Mix Master, Eternal Vibes, House Arrest and Enforcement Soundz. Admission is $15 in advance, $20 at the event. Parking is free.
