DanceAfrica Miami Debut
Saturday, August 6, 8PM – 9:30PM – Miramar Cultural Center, 2400 Civic Center Place, Miramar
Enjoy an elegant evening of dance, music, and culture at the highly anticipated DanceAfrica Miami debut featuring international performances from the U.S., all parts of West Africa, Cuba, Haiti, and the rest of the Caribbean. The two-day cultural weekend also includes more than 15 African, modern, and Caribbean dance, drum, and music workshops on Saturday, August 6 and Sunday, August 7 and a free Children’s Village Zone on August 6 with back-to-school giveaways, Zumba for Kids dance lessons, arts & crafts, face painting, drumming, and African folktale storytelling. These activities will be at the Little Haiti Cultural Center (212 NE 59th Terr). DanceAfrica Miami tickets are $35 for general admission; $20 for seniors and students; and $5 for children 2 and under.
