Lyric Live featuring Regina Belle
Friday, August 5, 5PM – 10PM – Historic Lyric Theater, 819 NW 2nd Ave, Overtown

Miami’s best amateur night showcase presents a special Lyric Live under the stars with a performance by R&B songstress, Regina Belle, and live music by Jody Hill & Deep Fried Funk Bank, Lyric Live contests, the Showtime Junkanoo Band, and music by DJ Ed the World Famous. Free admission.

First Fridays
Friday, August 5, 6PM – 10PM – 1st Klass, 9940 Pines Blvd, Pembroke Pines

The Friday Social kicks monthly for First Fridays with 2-for-1 cocktails, music, and a late night party that kicks off at 10pm. No cover until 10pm; $10 afterwards.

DanceAfrica Miami Debut
Saturday, August 6, 8PM – 9:30PM – Miramar Cultural Center, 2400 Civic Center Place, Miramar

Enjoy an elegant evening of dance, music, and culture at the highly anticipated DanceAfrica Miami debut featuring international performances from the U.S., all parts of West Africa, Cuba, Haiti, and the rest of the Caribbean. The two-day cultural weekend also includes more than 15 African, modern, and Caribbean dance, drum, and music workshops on Saturday, August 6 and Sunday, August 7 and a free Children’s Village Zone on August 6 with back-to-school giveaways, Zumba for Kids dance lessons, arts & crafts, face painting, drumming, and African folktale storytelling. These activities will be at the Little Haiti Cultural Center (212 NE 59th Terr). Day La Soul
Saturday, August 6, 5PM – 10PM – E11even Rooftop, 29 NE 11th St, Downtown Miami

SocialXchange takes it back to the 90’s and 2000’s for its monthly old school hip hop day party on the rooftop of one of the hottest venues in Downtown Miami. The Final Exam: Educators Day Jam

Before the school bell rings, the Eta Nu Chapter of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity is hosting a day party to welcome all of the educators back for the new school year like only like the Ques know how to. Skate & Bowl
Tuesday, August 9, 7PM – 10PM – Basement Miami at the Edition Hotel, 2901 Collins Ave, Miami Beach

Get your skating and bowling on at this afterwork party hosted by SocialXchange and Silent Revolution headphones.
