Black Coffee Miami Debut Africa Party
Friday, January 23, 10PM – 5AM – The Electric Pickle, 2826 N Miami Ave, Wynwood

Black Coffee, an internationally known DJ from Durban, South Africa and respected for his Afropolitan blended house music, makes his Miami debut with an energetic Africa house music party. Black Coffee was nominated for the 2011 MTV Europe Africa, India and Middle East Category for the “Worldwide Act” for his “Africa Rising” album. Tickets are $15-$20 at the door and is expected to sell out. So arrive early.


The Black Life Experience: Soul in the City
Friday, January 23, 6PM – 11PM – African Heritage Cultural Art Center, 6161 NW 22nd Ave, Miami

The African Heritage Cultural Arts Centers presents an evening of visual art and live music with sounds & visual light show of DJ TARIQUE and live painting performances. The Amadlozi Gallery opening exhibition, curated by Aramis O’Reilly will premier works featuring national artists, Donovan Crony, Edward Drew, and Miami native, Robert McKnight. The evening will transition to a live neo-soul concert in the Narcisse Theater at 8pm, where patrons will hear the sounds of rising stars and AHCAC alumni, Courtney Mickens and Nicole Clark. Passed hors d’oeuvres will be served by Northwestern Culinary Academy.

After Five Happy Hour

South Florida Black Professionals Network presents its first 4th Friday happy hour event for professionals. The Spotlight Spoken Word

The Spotlight is the newest poetry, spoken word, and alternative entertainment event with three-for-one drinks from 6pm – 8pm. Show time starts at 8:30pm. Admission $10.
