The Miami Heat’s not in the Playoffs. Heat Nation is still partying

You were never cut out for professional basketball, but that’s OK. You can pretend from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Thursday at the AmericanAirlines Arena for the Miami Heat’s Culture Day.

“Culture” was the two-syllable 2016-17 motto for the Miami Heat, who missed the post season with a 41-41 record.

The team’s absence from the NBA Playoffs will be felt while fans pose for photos with the Heat’s NBA Finals championship trophies. Those who want to take selfies with a real person will have #40, Udonis Haslem, at their disposal from 2 to 3:30 p.m.

Also in celebration of the team, Heat Nation can prepare for another promising season with major discounts on Miami Heat gear. That’s right! Take 50 percent off merchandise at all the Miami Heat Store locations and online until Sunday.

Culture Day was announced Tuesday on the official Miami Heat Instagram. Follow the team’s account for more event details.
