Miami Home Design & Remodeling Show

International Ballet Festival Miami
Aug. 30-Sept. 27
Where: Various venues in Miami, Miami Beach and Fort Lauderdale
The ballet world leaps into South Florida with top dancers and companies heading to venues in Miami and Fort Lauderdale for workshops, performances and a Grand Gala. Under the direction of Pedro Pablo Pena, the festival presents dancers in classical ballet, modern dance plus international contest winners.
Miami Fashion Film Festival
Where: Miami Beach Cinematheque, 1130 Washington Ave., Miami Beach
See the fashion industry on the silver screen at this film festival via screenings of feature length films, shorts and documentaries plus workshops and panels that examine and explore the art and culture of the fashion business. The festival benefits Fashion Inspires More (FIM).

Juan Manuel Fernandez Montoya, also known as “Farruquito” comes from the legendary Farruco family, the first family of flamenco dance, and is regarded as one of the most faithful representatives of flamenco puro. His show “Improvisao“ transports audiences to the roots of flamenco.
Children’s Trust Family Expo

Parents can check out more than 250 exhibitors showcasing health, education, after-school programs, injury prevention, Pre-K registration, KidCare, programs for children with disabilities and social services while the kids enjoy appearances by Nickelodeon characters and family-friendly activities.

Miami Lyric Opera takes on Verdi’s opera of political intrigue where a plot to murder the Count of Warwick in colonial Boston unfolds during a magnificent masked ball.
‘I Love Lucy’ Live On Stage

Adapted from the beloved television show, “I Love Lucy” Live on Stage takes audiences back to the ’50s where they witness a live taping of two episodes of the “I Love Lucy” show complete with all the hilarity, drama and fun that goes on behind the scenes and on the screen.
