DOLPHINS CYCLING CHALLENGE
Two-day (30-170 mile), tri-county Florida charity cycling event to benefit Sylvester Comprehensive Cancer Center. The event includes twelve different routes that cater to all individual skill levels, even kids.
SOUTH MIAMI ART FESTIVAL
Where: Sunset Drive between U.S. 1 and Red Road
Celebrating its 42nd year on the quaint streets of downtown South Miami, this juried fine art show features nationally recognized artists and is open to the public.
GREAT GROVE BED RACE
Where: Bayshore Drive by Peacock Park, Coconut Grove
The Great Grove Bed Race brings together five-person race teams plus their five-person pit crews for a mad dash down the road all in the name of charity. The 2013 competition will benefit Dress for Success Miami. This year’s Grand Marshall is Flo Rida.
Where: Fred B. Harnett Ponce Circle Park in Coral Gables
From 6-10 p.m., enjoy various styles of gourmet burgers from more than 20 restaurants, all competing for the top prize. Plenty of live music, too.
MIAMI SHORT FILM FESTIVAL
Where: Theaters throughout Miami and Miami Beach
The 12th annual collection of films under 20 minutes screens shorts from Miami and around the world at several venues with films grouped into themes like “Blood Red Youth” and “The Stronger Sex.”
Where: Bakehouse Art Complex, 561 NW 32nd St., Miami
The annual art raffle/fundraiser features work on display in the main Audrey Love Gallery by more than 70 local artists and it’s all up for grabs.
MIAMI INTERNATIONAL AUTO SHOW
Where: Miami Beach Convention Center, 1901 Convention Center Dr., Miami Beach
Showcases more than 1,000 new car, truck, van and SUV models from more than 40 of the world’s leading manufacturers, as well as a convertible cars exhibit.
FRIENDS OF NATURE MUSIC FEST
Where: Historic Virginia Key Park, 4020 Virginia Beach Dr, Miami
Created by musicians, artists, activists, scientists, and young entrepreneuers, the mission of the Friends of Nature Festival is to create environmentally sound concerts. This year the festival kicks off with 100 performers including Cafe Tacuba, Matisyahu plus comedians, artists, film and other activities like kayaking and yoga.

The NASCAR Foundation presents the second annual “Championship Taste” event featuring 15 restaurants from the South Florida area showcasing their best menu items of the year with proceeds to benefit the Homestead Hospital’s Speediatrics Unit, which imports the color, excitement, and fun of NASCAR into children’s hospital rooms, wings, and waiting areas, while providing medical treatments for thousands of children each year.
NASCAR’S FORD CHAMPIONSHIP WEEKEND

Homestead-Miami Speedway hosts NASCAR’s Ford Championship Weekend with five-time Champ Jimmie Johnson, South Florida resident Juan Pablo Montoya and fan favorite Dale Earnhardt Jr. racing for NASCAR’s Sprint Cup Trophy.
MIAMI BOOK FAIR INTERNATIONAL
Where: Miami Dade College Wolfson Campus
The 30th edition features readings and talks with top authors and the popular Street Fair on Nov. 22-24 where more than 250 publishers and booksellers exhibit and sell books.
WHITE PARTY WEEK
Nov. 27-Dec. 2
Where: Nightclubs and bars throughout Miami Beach
The 29th annual event raises money for AIDS service organization Care Resource by hosting lavishly themed dance parties at clubs such as Score, Dream, Space and Soho Studios. The National Hotel (1677 Collins Ave., Miami Beach) is the event headquarters.
