Florida Supercon
July 3-6

Geeks of all stripes come together at this convention that brings gamers, anime lovers, comic book nuts, fans of shows like “Dr. Who” and “Game of Thrones,” cosplay enthusiasts, celebrities, artists, producers and the big behind-the-scenes players in all manner of nerdy pursuits.

International Hispanic Theatre Festival
July 10-27
Where: Various venues throughout Miami.

The acclaimed festival brings some of the best theatre companies from Latin America, Europe and the United States to Miami for three-weeks of educational workshops, special events like International Children’s Day and performances. This year’s program honors Argentina in recognition of its contributions to Hispanic theater.

International Mango Festival
July 12-13
Where: Fairchild Tropical Botanic Garden, 10901 Old Cutler Rd, Coral Gables

Learn a few recipes, pick up a new mango tree for your yard, sip on mango smoothies, let the kids enjoy in mango-centric fun and enjoy the beauty of Fairchild’s tropical foliage at this annual festival dedicated to the sweetest fruit.

World Cup Finals Street Party
July 13

Segafredo Brickell will play host to the City of Miami’s Official World Cup Street Party with thousands converging in Brickell to celebrate with free concerts, DJs dancers, LED screens, food, drinks and a VIP lounge.

Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Swim
July 17-21
Where: The Raleigh Hotel, 1775 Collins Ave., Miami Beach

See the latest designs from big names and emerging designers at this annual showcase of swimwear and resort collections. Brands like Mara Hoffman, L*Space by Monica Wise, Caitlin Kelly Swimwear, Minimale Animale and Aguaclara and many more will participate in five days of runway shows, VIP events and parties with a celebrity or two always thrown in the mix. 

July 17-Aug. 31
Where: Adrienne Arsht Center, 1300 Biscayne Blvd., Miami

Heart-pumping electronic music, aerial acrobatics, extravagant visuals, and water (more than 6,000 gallons a show) transform the Arsht Center into an alternate universe where heroes have epic battles with mythical beasts and brave the elements.

‘The Whale’

In this big-hearted and comedic award-winning Off Broadway play, a 600-pound recluse living on the outskirts of Mormon country in Idaho faces his last chance at redemption.

SwimShow & Lingerie Show
July 19-22

This annual trade show for the swimwear and lingerie industry takes over the Miami Beach Convention Center with hundreds of exhibitors representing several thousand swimwear brands. This industry event brings buyers from around the globe looking for the latest trends for the upcoming cruise season. 

Salon Allure
July 19-22
Where: W Hotel South Beach, 2201 Collins Ave., Miami Beach

Luxury is the name of the game at Salon Allure, a tradeshow that brings together high end swim, resort wear and fabric brands during Swim Week. The event features a series of cocktail parties hosted by industry insiders, fashion presentations plus onsite luxury brand installations.

Vans Warped Tour
July 26
Where: 601-7 Sansbury Way, West Palm Beach

Indie music festival brings hours of nonstop music by bands you love and bands you have never heard of. A few names on the roster for West Palm Beach are Every Time I Die, Less than Jake, Breathe Carolina, The Devil Wears Prada, We the Kings, All Time Low, Bowling for Soup, Saves The Day and We are the In Crowd.
Miami Salsa Congress

July 30-Aug. 3
Where: Various locations throughout Miami Beach;

Held every summer in Miami Beach, Miami Salsa Congress offers salsa enthusiasts a chance to learn, party, perform, watch shows, party and then later on, party some more. All of the partying will happen to the rhythms of the Caribbean and participants will bring their fanciest footwork. Also, on the itinerary is a concert by Jose Alberto “El Canario” and Ismael Miranda, two living legends of salsa music.
