‘Beauty and the Beast’

National YoungArts Week

This event brings together approximately 170 young artists from the visual, literary, design and performing arts for workshops, classes and intense mentoring with experts in their fields which culminates in a series of screenings, art exhibits and performances.

Redland Heritage Festival

Celebrate the 39th year of this tradition with local arts and crafts, historical exhibits, a large selection of tropical plants, food, a petting zoo, pony rides, magic shows, and an interactive Everglades wildlife show.

Miami Jewish Film Festival

Art Deco Weekend

Beaux Arts Festival

Miami’s oldest juried fine arts show, the Beaux Arts Festival features over 220 fine art exhibitors, live music in the Main-stage tent, the UHealth Family Fun Zone and a variety of dining options.

Screendance Miami: Dance on Film Festival

A showcase of Miami-based choreographers and filmmakers who work with emerging and new concepts to translate movement and dance to film, the festival presents a series of screenings, panel discussions, workshops and site-specific installations.

Miami International Science Fiction Film Festival
Jan. 23-25
Where: Hyatt Regency Miami, 400 SE Second Ave., Miami
The second annual event, this festival showcases science fiction, fantasy, animation, supernatural and horror as well as locally made films.

Homestead Championship Rodeo
Jan. 23-25
Where: Doc’ DeMilly Rodeo Arena at Harris Field, U.S. 1 and Southwest 312th Street in Homestead

Homestead Championship Rodeo and Rodeo Days bring together the toughest competitors for bare-back and saddle bronco riding, tie-down roping, team roping, steer wrestling, cowgirls’ barrel racing and the crowd favorite, bull riding.

International Chocolate Festival
