Discover Orange Bowl Football Game

Florida State Seminoles take on the Northern Illinois Huskies in the Orange Bowl. Arrive early for the Bud Light Bowl Game Day Fan Zone.

The Discover BCS National Championship Game

The Alabama Crimson Tide take on the Notre Dame Fighting Irish at the BCS National Champtionship Game.


WWE Smackdown
Jan. 8
Where: AmericanAirlines Arena, 601 Biscayne Blvd., Miami

Who will leave South Florida for the Royal Rumble as World Heavyweight Champion? Will it be the 7-foot, 450-pound Big Show or the “Celtic Warrior” Sheamus. Also on the roster to give or receive a beatdown: Randy Orton, Daniel Bryn and a special appearance by Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson.


Cirque du Soleil: TOTEM
Jan. 10-Feb. 5

Inspired by many founding myths, Cirque du Soleil’s TOTEM illustrates, through a visual and acrobatic language, the fascinating journey of the human species from its original amphibian state to its ultimate desire to fly.


35th Annual Art Deco Weekend
Jan. 18-20
Where: Ocean Drive between Fifth and Thirteenth Streets, Miami Beach

Celebrate the best of Art Deco at this three-day festival featuring vendors, film screenings, lectures, classic cars, a street parade, children’s area and more.


Miami International Art Fair (MIA)
Jan. 18-21
Where: SeaFair, docked at  Intercontinental Hotel Dock, 100, Chopin Plaza, Miami

Galleries from across the globe, collectors and curators gather aboard the luxurious SeaFair at this mid-winter contemporary art fair featuring 30 international dealers presenting both established and contemporary artists. In addition, MIA will present Sculpture Miami, a waterside installation and sculpture exhibition in Bayfront Park.


Beaux Arts Festival
Jan. 19-20
Where: The University of Miami campus, Coral Gables

The Beaux Arts Festival offers art for many budgets, live eclectic music and other free entertainment, children’s art experiences, fabulous dining options, and free admission all weekend to the Lowe Art Museum.

Homestead Championship Rodeo
Jan. 25-27
Where: Doc’ DeMilly Rodeo Arena at Harris Field,  U.S. 1 and SW 312th Street in Homestead

Homestead Championship Rodeo and Rodeo Days features seven championship events; bare-back and saddle bronco riding, tie-down roping, team roping, steer wrestling, cowgirls’ barrel racing and the crowd favorite, bull riding. In between events there will be entertainment plus the crowning of the 2013 Homestead Rodeo Queen.


International Chocolate Festival
Jan. 25-27
Where: Fairchild Tropical Botanic Garden, 10901 Old Cutler Rd., Coral Gables

Head to Fairchild Tropical Garden for three decadent days of chocolate with chef demonstrations, lectures, a Choco-Walk, plant sales and more.


ING Miami Marathon and Half Marathon
Jan. 27
Where: AmericanAirlines Arena, 601 Biscayne Blvd., Miami

The fit and the furious race through the streets of Miami in one of the biggest tests of endurance in South Florida. Along with the races, participants can enjoy the Nissan Health & Fitness Expo at the Miami Beach Convention Center with exhibitors showcasing the latest trends in fitness gear and gadgets.


The Original Miami Beach Antique Show
Jan. 31- Feb. 4
Where: Miami Beach Convention Center, 1901 Convention Center Dr., Miami Beach

Miami Beach hosts the world’s largest indoor antique show with more than 800 established dealers from 22 countries offering an array of furniture, jewelry, art and wares from back in the day.
