The name Kölsch (no, we’re not talking about the German beer) never fails to stir up a buzz among music fans partial to a particular kind of underground sound and ambiance. The Danish DJ and producer is the mastermind behind hits like “Goldfisch”, as well as the instantly-recognizable “Calabria” and “Kosimo”, produced under his alias Rune RK. Those who’ve followed his music closely over the decades may have noticed a growing penchant for darker, more melodic sounds. He’s also been busy at work on new material; having just put forth a remix of Coldplay’s “Sky Full of Stars,” he’s also announced an upcoming remix for Eric Prydz’s “Generate.” In his first visit to Miami since this year’s Winter Music Conference, Kölsch will be taking over Treehouse next Friday, May 8. Presented by Un_Mute, the event will feature support by local mainstays Lou Flores and Ohashi. Doors open at 11:00 p.m. and ticket prices will range from $10 – $30. This event is 21+.
